Goa Shivir 2014 (English)

Day 3 Nutshell

Namah shivay! Ever since Ishan ji had spoken yesterday, there were murmurs among the sadhaks, wishing for him to speak again. But just as one would have thought that one has heard the last from Ishan ji in Goa, in commanded Baba ji, handing over the mic for the second time to Ishan ji to shed a detailed light on all the seven chakras. At first, Ishan ji joyfully opposed but Baba ji had made up his mind. And a ‘sud-shishya’ or the sincere disciple can never cross question the Guru.

Thus the English shivir was lightened up yet again by Ishan ji’s extremely profound words. Even Baba ji appreciated the unique ways yet superbly weaved manner in which his son explained the implications of opened and closed chakras. The carefully calibrated and marvelously crafted words of Ishan ji, laced with oodles of humour and ‘peppered’ with witty, catchy and profound one-liners stole the heart of all those present.

In the process of delivering a magnificent discourse, he also educated the sadhaks to clap whole-heartedly such that the chakras of the sadhak sitting next to each one are fully activated. Sadhaks love Ishan ji for his daring humour. He did not even leave Baba ji while poking fun at everyone. But Baba ji was equal to the task. He had his own rejoinders ready. The playful contest of words between Baba ji and Ishan ji was one of if not the most entertaining moments of the 2014 Shiv Yog summer in Goa.

Ishan ji brings to the stage his cheeky humour and child-like expressions. Whenever the mic is directed at Ishan ji, a series of smiles and laughter instantly spread through the auditorium. Guru Ma, Geetanjali ji and the sadhaks have thoroughly enjoyed the playful digs of Baba ji on Ishan ji and vice-versa.

To share one of the fun potshots, Ishan ji stopped his speech at the explanation of Anahat chakra, saying that the chakras above he will explain in the next session. He said, “A break is due. May be others want to go to the toilet. May be I need to go to the toilet.” Baba ji replied, “Vishuddhi chakraaaaaaaaa……………….”. This sent all present into deep laughter.

Salient points of Ishan ji’s talk in brief:

MOOLADHAR CHAKRA – Provides stability to an individual. A deactivated Mooladhar has all the worldly dirt in it. The Pashubhaav or the animal tendencies are a characteristic of a deactivated Mooladhar chakra. To add humour, Ishan ji said that the person with consciousness in the Mooladhara will enjoy jokes related to the body. Like a child will laugh very hard at jokes on farting, bowels etc.

SWADDHISTHAN CHAKRA – Is responsible for the sense of taste. The six petals in it correspond to the six senses with which we can experience God. But an ignorant person chooses to experience sensory joys through the six senses and waste his life. Ishan ji quoted Baba ji, “In life you can either be sensible of senseless. The choice lies with you.” On a lighter note, Ishan ji added that a person whose consciousness is stuck in the wrong way in the Swaddhisthan chakra will enjoy ‘non-veg’ jokes.

MANIPUR CHAKRA – When the consciousness reaches the Manipur charka, a human being has all the worldly comforts of “good roti, good kapda and good makaan”. What he now seeks is power to fuel his ego. The Mnaipur chakra is the powerhouse of the etheric body. It is where all the emotions, the grudges and the karmic connections are stored. An ignorant person fills the Manipur chakra with complaints, grudges, gripes and resentment against others in the Manipur chakra instead of filling it with the divine energy.

ANAHAT CHAKRA – The Anahat chakra is the centre of unconditional love in a human being. It is the centre of healing in man. The more it is opened, the more an individual is healthy, the more he has the power to heal. A person who activates the Anahat chakra by loving others uniformly with unconditional love, encounters establishment of his connection with the Anahat chakra of the Guru and the the Anahat chakra of the God, which are the ultimate source of healing energy- the Sanjeevani shakti.

VISHUDDHI CHAKRA – This chakra is the filter between humanly qualities and godly traits. It is the connection between humanliness and godliness.

The parents who have a physically deformed child are affected by a blockage in the Vishuddhi. They lie too much or utter harsh words which has blocked the divine energy from flowing to the brain and encounter a hurdle in the smooth flow of the healthy genes to their children during conception.

Because if the filter itself is dirty, how will the energy from the lower chakras reach the Agya chakra for intelligence, for peace of mind and for worldly-wiseness?

At this point, Baba ji asserted that a husband and wife looking to conceive a divine child have to follow a one and half year routine to bear a very healthy and extremely divine child who will be a world beater.

At least one year, the couple have to live together, understand each other, meditate together and try practicing unconditional love with each other. During this one year they also have to rejuvenate their senses through the Sooksham kriyas, Pran kriyas, eating healthy food and doing the sadhna. After one year, for a period of 60 days the couple has to practice absolute celibacy. If possible, stay separately and perform regular meditations at their end. They also must do the Shiv Yog breathing processes, as part of a strict routine. If anyone follows this method of having a baby, there are chances of a god-like baby being born.

AGYA CHAKRA – When a human masters the lower chakras, the consciousness reaches the centre of divinity, the centre of the guru, the place which provides guidance in all aspects of life to a human being, a place which is the inner voice. Once the consciousness reaches here, the human being gives the ‘agya’ or the command to himself – “Tum chahtey kya ho?” It corresponds to the pineal gland and if this starts getting activated, all the systems of the body begin running in a perfect condition and he begins experiencing a divine bliss in his life.

The ‘iPad’ generation of today, said Ishan ji, is looking for more advancement in technology, more gadgets, more gizmos to feed their curiosities and cater to their anxieties. But the spiritual thirst, which is the driving factor of all invention is missing. That is why the restlessness, That is why the dissatisfaction with one gadget upon the immediate arrival of the other.

SEHASTRASAR CHAKRA - Corresponds to thousand sensory nerve points in the brain. This is the centre of the divine grace. Activation of this is the sole motto of every human being. When the consciousness reaches here, the false identity of the human ceases to exist. Only the divine light remains. The Sehastrasar chakra is the subtle touch of the Almighty.

Once Ishan ji was about to meditate and Baba ji came smiling to him. Repeated smiles of Baba ji irked Ishan ji and once and for all he asked him not to disturb him even as he is about to sit for meditation. So, Baba ji said that you are shirking from receiving the gross love from, what will you do when the god touches you lovingly in a very subtle way. Because the love of god is very subtle. You have to be receptive to it to understand what grace is. To do that, first you will have to be seized of the unconditional love on the physical level.

To drive home the teaching of channelizing of the energy in the right direction, Ishan ji drew comparisons with a bow and arrow. He said that we don’t have to break the bow if we are not reaching the bull’s eye or the target. What we have to do is to just change the direction of our bow to direct the arrows at the accurate target.

Ishan ji summed up his eloquent address to the sadhaks on chakras by goading them to think about the purpose of their lives. He cited the story behind Austrians being so intellectual, what with top think-tanks originating from that country. He said, as part of their routine, every evening Austrian people sit with a cup of coffee in parks, cafes etc and sit to contemplate the meaning of their lives, what they want from their lives, what more can be done to achieve the best, what are the implications of human behavior etc. This tendency to think every evening in silence is the reason behind Austria being the fountainhead of many brainy individuals.

Ishan ji’s discourse drew a huge round of applause. The claps did not stop. Baba ji was proud to have a son like him. The breakfast session ended on this note.

But before leaving, Ishan ji said that Baba ji does not quantify grace. For example 2 kg healing power or 5 litres of curing ability. The grace of the God is something he gives away “chappar faad ke” (A hindi phrase meaning showering bountiful of something on someone especially referring to the grace of God).
He asked all sadhaks to seek healing, happiness, joy and abundance, “chappar faad ke”. To add a trifle more of humour, as he was saying chappar faad ke at the end of every sentence, describing Baba ji, he closed on a mischievous note saying “Now the break will be……………”(implying chappar faad ke). Everyone had a good laugh. But Baba ji clarified that the break will only be of half an hour. This drew more laughter.

Teachings of the day by Baba ji in a nutshell.

Maintaining that time is not a healer, rather it is merely a tool to forget the incident, Baba ji warned the sadhaks on the fourth day of the Goa shivir (English) that any person or incident, we think about all day-long, whether with the emotion of sorrow or happiness, gets stuck in the petals of the chakras. The grudges along with the person against whom the grudges are held, stick on the petals of the various chakras. So, consciously even if a human being forgets about the incident, the incident, the emotions felt during the incident and the person involved is pinned on the petals of the chakra. It is like a clock without battery, stuck in one position.

Ideally, every petal of every chakra is governed and presided over by a god and the goddess. But instead of letting the god and the goddess preside over the chakras, what we do is let the negative incidents rule the chakras. This automatically means a blockage in the smooth flow of divine energy that will result consequently in a disease ir disturbance in any aspect of life.

Shiv Yog healing is all about releasing the intense emotions and the image of the people from getting stuck in the petals by activating the unawakened consciousness of the chakra by receiving the grace of the Guru.

Baba ji articulated that if you have performed some bad deed in the past, do not sit and lament about it. Do 10 times better deeds than that and neutralize the incident. Seek forgiveness and vow to yourself and the Almighty never to repeat this mistake ever in the life. The day you do this, it will be the zero day. That means the past sorrow or any bad karma for that matter will be totally destroyed.

Baba ji urged all Shiv Yogis to remove the ambiguous terms like “May be”, “I feel so”, “Perhaps” from their vocabulary since these phrases denote uncertainty and a Shiv Yogi is form and certain about what he thinks, believes and does. Either it is yes or it is no. There is no neutral ground.

The language of materialization is always the present tense, said Baba ji, adding that “I don’t want…………….” Is wrong sentence construction if one has to materialize anything in life. Because when one says I don’t want, one will have to refer to the negative thing. For example when we say “I don’t want to be a failure”, what we will visualize is failure. So, be very clear. Just say what you want. Just say I want to be a successful person. Don’t mention the failure, the disease, the sorrow and the misery. There’s absolutely no need of using such a language to mention the negative aspects.

The conscious mind has only the 4% of the power to visualize and materialize, whereas the subconscious mind has 96% power to achieve the goals. A crystal pendulum is a perfect instrument to showcase how the visualization of the positive goals by the subconscious mind has higher vibrations than the superficial desires in the conscious mind. Baba ji showcased this using a crystal dowser.
