Shivyog Teachings

HIMALAYAN YOGI SUGGESTS EVERY SHIV YOGI TO BE A KARMA YOGI

Here's what he spoke on Karma Yog

"All Shiv Yogis must be Karma Yogis. By Karma Yogi I do not imply its definition what the world knows. The world says that a person who keeps working endlessly through his physical body is a Karma Yogi. I want to clarify that workaholic is not Karma Yog. Putting mindless effort like a robot in a factory is not Karma Yoga.

What Lord Krishna said, I want to make it very clear to all so that you do not hold a different interpretation of his divine message. The great Krishna ordained all humans to be Karma Yogis, to perform every task of their life with 200% involvement. 100% of what they can do through the physical effort and the rest 100% through the emotional, mental and spiritual aspects because a human being is not just the physical being. He is the sum total of the body, emotions, mind and spirituality.

Whenever you commit a task, all your bodies need to be working in tandem for the work to be justified. You must consolidate the powers of all your bodies - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual - and apply it to accomplish the task at hand with perfection.

If your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies are moving in different directions, it will be an action of failure. We can call it jokingly as Garba Aasan, asan like doing garba, making mockery of life, actions and general work ethic.

You don't need to be like a labourer in a brick kiln, putting in tremendous efforts and still getting nothing substantial in return. Shiv Yog says work less, accomplish more. When you learn how to involve all the five bodies in a task, you learn the trick to excelling in any and every task you take up.

That is the sadhna that I want to teach you. I'm not guiding you to merely sit for one hour with closed eyes. I'm teaching you to be as Lord Krishna said 'Yogust Kuru Karmani'. Always be in a state of union with the infinite Shiva. Let all your five bodies be in alignment, in consonance, in rhythm with the divine power. Sadhna is not meditation per se; it is perfecting every deed you perform.

Set goals in life - immediate, midterm and long term - and let every action of yours be synergised towards achievement of your goals. That way you will never have to worry about going off-track.
So being a Karma Yogi is about setting a goal first of all. Secondly, working physically towards the achievement of that goal. Thirdly, putting your emotions in that task. Fourthly, letting your mind be filled with faith, belief and symphony that yes you are succeeding. Fifth, letting your spiritual self, activated through Shiv Yog sadhna, clear passage of spiritual cord and bring the grace for a hassle free, smooth sailing life. Lastly, like your fifth body, remain in bliss, remain in the present moment. Do not keep harping on the past. Don't be stuck in a time warp. Do not question why something is happening in life or why something happened. Just work to heal. Be in the present. No analysis or assessment of the past."
