HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY

Message from Ashram on Women's Day.

THIS WOMEN'S DAY, BEGIN PRACTICAL EMPOWERMENT; HONOUR THE WOMEN IN YOUR HOUSE THROUGH COMPASSION
Namah shivay! It is Women's Day today and being Shiv Yog Sadhaks, it is incumbent upon each of us to reaffirm our commitment to uphold the dignity of the Shakti - in ourselves, in others, in society, in the community and in the entire world. The process starts from within as every individual is a heterogeneous blend of Male and Female energy. The concept of gender duality is misleading. The creative, emotional and wisdom aspects in every human being are the characteristic manifestation of the Shakti and so every human is constituted by a proportion of feminine virtue. Shiv Yog sadhna strives to balance the Shiva and the Shakti elements within us, symbolised by rationale and creativity respectively on the superficial level. Through every prayer, we seek to create matter and creation is nothing but an outcome of the Shakti, the settling of energy in physical form.
Baba ji has always been a votary of the concept which seeks to accord preeminence to women. He holds that if we cannot respect the living manifestation of the Shakti which is a woman, it's no use appeasing the trinity of Goddess in prayer to invoke strength, wealth and wisdom. First, one has to learn to serve what is physically before us. The idea behind every ritual & prayer is to facilitate the incorporation of the deeper spiritual meaning in the ritual & prayer.
Every human being is gifted with the best mother in the world as the compassionate incarnation of the Goddess. Now, it is up to us whether to redeem the opportunity to offer utmost reverence to her, be an obedient & devoted progeny or to junk this grand opportunity to seek and learn unconditional love from her.
BE A SHIVYOGI SON/DAUGHTER
Likewise, many a household is presented an opportunity to invoke the blessings of the Divine Goddess when a girl is born there. Now, it is upto the occupants of the house, whether to reject the Goddess which has taken birth as Bala Tripursundari or to welcome the soul and consider her rearing as a chance to serve the Shakti herself. That would become true Sewa of Durga Shakti.
BE A SHIV YOGI PARENT TO THE GIRL CHILD
Finally, lucky families also get the wonderful chance to welcome the Goddess as Lakshmi, the harbinger of materialistic & spiritual wealth and abundance. There also lies the option of either keeping her as a Goddess-in-law more than a daughter-in-law or engaging in unreasonable bemoaning of the inability to control her. A thousand tricks to placate the Goddess Lakshmi fail to match the single action of professing love to your daughter-in-law.
BE A SHIV YOGI HUSBAND/"IN-LAW"
Let this Women's Day mark Liberation from the entrenched feudal mindset and let us lend every woman the honour she has always been deserving of. Any society, community and nation cannot traverse on the path of evolution, growth & prosperity till its women remain in the shackles of patriarchal subjugation, oppression & suppression.
So it is time to act holistically even in so far as treating a woman, the womb of creation, is concerned.
Our Guru has treated every woman in his life - his mother, his wife, his daughter and his daughter-in-law - no less than mortal incarnates of the immortal Goddess. Ishan ji too has modelled himself on these lines. Let us also follow the example of Baba ji in this regard.
Happy Emancipation!
Happy Woman's Day!
Namah shivay!
