START LIVING A LIFE TO MAKE YOURSELF HAPPY, NOT TO PLEASE OTHERS: BABA JI GUIDES SADHAKS IN LENASIA
Excerpts from his motivational sermon to the sadhaks
"From today prepare your own report card. Perform self assessment, self analysis. Stop leading a life to please others. Let inner voice guide you and not the whims and wishes of others. Be your own supervisor. Be your own guide
But before all this, you must clear the abscess of your karmas, the layers of negativity around you because if you start assessing yourself before you are totally pure, you will lead yourself to trouble.
I want to also tell you to compete only with yourself. When you nurture rivalry with someone else, jealousy is bound to come and pollute your mind, take your energy down, deplete your positive energy.
So the feeling must be that every day in every way I am getting better and better. At the end of every day introspect whether you are a better individual than what you were the previous day. Do not forget that you're a passenger on a journey. You have to move ahead with a progressive approach every day. This approach excludes the judgements & assessment by others of you. You can't go on changing yourself to conform to everyone in the world. You have to have your own principles and all your actions must be in consonance with these principles.
Make a questionnaire for yourself and read that every night to yourself. Make a checklist of how you will conduct yourself in a day. And at night, monitor whether you could follow that checklist.
The choices in life must be governed by your own ultimate goal. And the checklist must be in synchrony with this ultimate goal. The decisions in your life should be such that they lead you to infinite. It must not be that you make choices which involve only short-term gains and the road ends there. Long term planning must be done. Remember, you have to go to the rooftop of existence. You can't be stuck in the staircase of life. 200% life must be there. Worldly and material goals should be made such that both the worldly accomplishments and spiritual achievements complement each other and which results in your ultimate ascension.
The question you must ask yourself before acting and reacting in any given situation is that whether doing so is helping you fulfil your soul agenda. At the end of every day self analysis must materialize."
