TUM CHAHTEY KYA HO?
What do you want? This is the base of all the teachings
of Shiv Yog. These four words are the key to sanity in a world filled with
choices and paths. Everyone can give us a perspective but in the end it is we
who must understand that no one, but ourselves, has to live with the
consequence and repercussions of our decisions.
Repercussions, physical not divine as conformity can be
found in paths to bring satisfaction to one's soul. For, many gods may turn a
blind eye to one's gluttony of food; even make it a divine will. Many paths may
justify one's preference towards degradation of the opposite sex. In fact, any
act - charitable or heinous - in nature can find heavenly approval. For many,
our heavens are made by men and many of our gods we bow down to; many are
philosophies we give birth. Each philosophy twisted, edited and altered to
contain or justify one's action. No right, no wrong - just the ability to be at
peace with one self. Hence, whenever I would go to my father to know the divine
will, he would reply with a voice thunderous and booming - WHAT DO YOU WANT?
Nothing else matters. You will live with it, no one cares.
Repercussions, what do I want? Do I want divinity? That
is simple. I want to walk on my father's path for I cannot relate with much in
the world. Even though I was very good and talented in studies and extracurricular
activities, my choice led me to a path of divinity. What it meant would be
sacrificing all so-called fun or exposure a young man can have, a life where
one must learn to closely understand the suffering of human beings, understand
the human nature, spend a major part of the day listening to people in a state
of great sorrow for that is the truth of humanity. You open a bar, people come
laughing and happy. They get drunk and dance, thank and leave. But the next
day, they are left with a hangover for all booze works in a manner same way -
"happiness-now-pay-later" principle. But open a temple and the masses
come in tears, with heavy hearts, corrupt minds, broken souls but the next day
they wake in peace. Yes the job is hard, the price steep but in the end, a
price I am willing to pay. For, a million faces in tears may create a thousand
smiles. Through my efforts, a better world. I will do my part. Some may say
opening a bar is easy. They are right for I know men and their expectations.
Here, surrender is to the wise and expectations are from God.
Repercussions, yes when one does good work many will
benefit, many lives will change. But ready one must remain. For, it is a clash
of ideologies as few are those lost in the darkness of heart with purpose to
extinguish the light. Why they do what they do? I do not know but the haters
hate and like a shark looks for prey, the minions of Lucifer roam in the
shadows to pounce, to eradicate to destroy all that is good and one with God.
What does it mean to do good work? It means to pick a fight with critics. For,
when one works to fight an infection, one will soon learn that the nature of
infection is to spread even to the one who wishes to cure.
Hence, one witnesses in the path to good, many are the
naysayers wishing to harm. For, the work of negative is to deny, reject and
harm. A lesson not new, for look at history - even gods like my Krishna, my
Ram, my Shiva - list continued to infinity - were rejected. Gurus since the
beginning - may it be my Kabir, may it be my Nath - all ridiculed at one point
by critics or don't go too far, today any Guru, any warrior of light, any human
trying to do good, search his name and one finds like in the most beautiful
house there may be cockroaches in dark corners, in the same manner, in all
their good work and divine glory, in the corners of a web a scum may accumulate
to spread hate and negativity about the pillars of humanity. But the saints
continue. For, worship of light does not mean no negativity will arise. For,
whenever godliness appears, the devil will try his hand. But to be in light
means to be true to one's path no matter the trial.
Repercussions? Always. But life is through choice - so
when one does good, one thing is certain he will face resistance for when one
tries to rescue a wild cat, no matter one's intention, the cat will bite for it
is in the cat's nature to attack. What to do? When one listens to the critics
attacking, when one is looking at the hate in people's eyes, when one sees
prejudice being directed, one choice is to let go, let them win, fade away,
disappear. For, what is the worth? Gods and men of God have both tried, what
has changed. People remain people. In fact even after their sacrifice, satyug
became kalyug. So do what the world allows, even celebrates, go to parties, go
to gatherings, follow protocols even if it may mean prejudice guided by mass
hysteria, eat what is served, drink what is accepted, listed what is told and
die when needed.
Or be strong. Remember my father's words WHAT DO YOU
WANT? Let your work continue. Accept that for a million people who love you, a
hundred will always hate. Choose to enjoy the love of the ones who matter and
reject the minions of darkness. Have a path, think of the good you can achieve
and accept the ones who love as they will always love. For, they with you,
stand in the light and the ones who hate, it is their nature. If not you,
someone else will be their target.
KNOW that if all great men fade away, what will be left
of the world? If all divinity became afraid of the naysayers, who will guide
the next generation?
UNDERSTAND that the world belongs to
those who are willing to work the hardest. For if you see one is becoming
restless from your good work, know that change is coming and if you continue, a
day will come when all that remains is light.
ACCEPT that even in satyug there
were asurs, even in kalyug there are devtas. For, this is the truth of life -
on the throne, only the king changes, on the planet only the rule changes but
both energies remain and each is always trying to influence the other. Which
one wins? The one you are willing to back as the battle is not outside; it is
the one writhing and if you choose that you stand for divinity, then knows that
in your life light has won.
REMEMBER what do you want? Go looking
for diamonds, you will find. Go looking for coal and it's yours. The light
walks with you always. So standing with the light, I today remind myself a
promise I made long ago. I will not fade away, I will fight every obstacle, I
will help every brother, I will work harder and harder, I will not waste my
time on the ones trying to tell me negative. My time is precious. If I must, I
will utilize it to walk the path of my Guru. For, satyug can be brought back if
you and I are willing to walk in the light. I promise I will always be there
for you like my father and his Father, just like you are there for all those
who you love.
NEVER doubt yourself for many will want you to fail to
justify their own shortcomings. Inventions belong to the passionate. Do not ask
why there is wrong, instead ask what and how can there be good through me.
I am in the light and it is here I wish to bring you; it
is here I will wait for you, what do I want?
I want love, peace, divinity, prosperity and healing for
you hence I must strive like the good people before me to let the light be more
than any darkness we may face.
We will succeed as we sow what we reap. I choose to sow
divinity.
Bless you
Namah Shivay
