Goa Shivir 2014 (English)

Day 2 (Nutshell)

Namah shivay! At last the moment arrived! Finally, Ishan ji broke his silence in Goa. And when he did, the roar was thunderous. For the five minutes he spoke on the mic, every single eye in the hall and every single ear in the hall was on him for the whole duration, noticing his explanatory gestures and smiling face.

Ishan ji enlightened the sadhaks on how sympathy was a negative trait and that every Shiv Yogi must have compassion rather than sympathy. Every sadhaks must help others in distress. He must not just project worry or sorrow at the suffering of others. He must do something on his part which helps relieve the misery.

He cited an incident which happened with him last evening to drive home his excellent point. As he and his sister Geetanjali ji were driving down to a place in Goa, they saw a pack of dogs marching around a street. They stopped the car to notice the dogs. Ishan ji pitied the frail and weak condition of the dogs saying that they looked like sleep-deprived, food deprived and water deprived refugees. He called them refugee dogs and felt sorry for them, thinking that street dogs up North and even down South are well fed and so he felt sorry for the wafer-thin Goan dogs.

The wise Geetanjali ji listened to all this while not reacting to anything her brother said so far. She got out of the car, opened the whole pack of biscuits she was carrying and fed a huge quantity to the ailing dogs, who devoured every single bite of food that was offered to them.

Ishan ji learnt that when we feel sorry for someone, we connect to the vibrations of complaining. But when we do something to remedy the sad state condition, we create something positive, we do sewa.

This experience Ishan ji shared during the Q & A session of Baba ji with the sadhaks.

Time for the summary of teachings for the day.

Lending heapful of spiritual and behavioural advice to the parents of young children, Baba ji said on the second day of the English version of the Kundalini sadhna shivir in Goa that parents have a vital role in feeding the child with the trigger response of negative emotions. He strongly forbid parents to quarrel before their children, hurl accusations at each other, cry and indulge in bad conduct since children are like a clean slate and learn the bad emotions from their parents and when the children grow up, they have been programmed to respond negatively to incidents, just like their parents did. He requested all parents to set an example for their children, while adding that they must show the path, guide the children in what is best for them. Teach them what career will suit them the best keeping in view their aptitude but do not force any career on them said Baba ji, stating that materialization of a career for children by the parents amounts to karmic interference.

For those looking to conceive divine children, Baba ji said that the couple must rejuvenate all the cells of their body by employing self healing techniques as taught during this Goa Shivir. For revitalization of the energy, he suggested having energy giving fruits, herbs and creation of a very divine atmosphere at home. Baba ji had a special word of praise for the wonder fruit of Amla. He urged all to have it raw or in powder rather than as Murabbas and candies since the nutrient value is significantly compromised that way.

Belief systems (driven by sanchit karmas or negative psychic impressions of the past births) compel a human being to think in a certain way. And every thought emits certain vibrations. The vibrations of the thoughts gives out energy. And a constant flow of energy over a continuous period causes the creation of a physical form. Baba ji held that the saying by the elders in India that “You become what you think about all day long” was absolutely bang-on.

Baba ji expounded on the need to raise the consciousness level to understand where exactly one is going wrong in life because if someone does not do the sadhna, he will feel that whatever he is doing is perfectly fine when in reality he would be committing blunders. So, the meditation is also important to understand the scope of improvement in oneself.

Baba ji suggested an interesting method to get rid of the bad deeds if a person decided to do the sadhna and change himself for the better. He said, “Make a list of all the habits you have. Rate them one by one on a scale of 1-10 in terms of moral significance and spiritual growth. Those qualities which are below a certain rating, say 4 out of 10, just try and remove from life.”

On materialization powers, Baba ji said: “It takes time for vibrations to manifest into energy, and in turn for this energy to convert into physical form. More spiritual/karmic hurdles means more time to materialize. So, the need is to undertake sewa or good deeds over a long period of time to undo the karmic debt. The currency for repayment of the karmic debt is the Nishkaam sewa or accumulation of the punyas.”

If you have committed sins in the past, do not plunge in the guilt. Seek forgiveness from yourself and the Almighty and say to yourself that this was a mistake committed by an ignorant me. Now I am a different person. This is someone new. Those sins were committed by someone else. I release that someone from me. Promise to yourself never to repeat these mistakes.

Ascension is a daily phenomenon Baba ji asserted. Every night a sadhak must ask himself, did he ascend in every manner on this day?

Finally, he said that the consciousness of Mother Earth had risen after 2012. Now, anyone who commits sin will get instant punishment for it. Every action will have an instant result. Those who manipulate people and situations will not only lose what they get through devil means in the long run, but they will also lose whatever was destined to them originally.
