Namah shivay in the special message from Baba ji on this year’s Guru Poornima Baba ji calls upon the sadhaks to make a dedicated Pooja room for them where sadhna must be done daily.
A Guru is sent by the divine powers to guide humanity and rescue it from the ravages of Maya or the delusion which the 5 senses tend to push us into.
Surrender to the Guru is a must. Surrender implies following the teachings of the Guru without contaminating or changing them to suit your needs. For example if Baba ji says do sadhna twice a day, don’t hide under the excuse that since we don’t have time, we’ll do it only once.
Those living a busy life and those who claim they do not have time, age faster.
Baba ji also talks about Pavitra Shishatwa or pure discipleship. The disciple must be loyal, devoted, dedicated and have a burning desire for salvation.
God endows the Guru with infinite powers.
The Guru in turn disperses these powers to his disciples for their eventual welfare. God and Guru share a direct relationship. Likewise Guru and God share a direct relationship. Guru is a form of God.
In Mahabharat Eklavya overheard Guru Drona teaching archery to his disciples. However spirituality can’t be learnt by hearing per se. Until and unless the Guru transmits the energy along with the mantra, uttering the latter through his own divine voice, there is no use. The disciple isn’t only given the mantra but the Mantra Shakti.
Hidden powers are in us all. We all are capable of springing up miracles every day. However the powers are in a dormant state. So just as one needs a little curd to make curd from milk, one needs a self realized soul to bless the disciple with a little of his powers so that the seed of liberation is planted in the disciple and which grows when watered and cared for by sadhna, sewa and sankirtan.
Without a Guru in life, life is not worthwhile and aimless. The ultimate of all humans is self realization whether one realizes this or not. God descends in the form of Guru to play just this role, to show the way, to guide and to blaze the trail.
Merely claims of being an avatar of God doesn’t grant the right to be called a Guru like sham god men have come to practice of late.
This brings us to the question what qualities should a Guru possess?
Baba ji says that Guru must be a one:
1.Who has dedicated his entire life to tapa or meditation on the infinite and thus become infinite.
2. Whose mere thought drives you to a state of higher being.
3. Whose mind, body and soul are one with Shiva.
4.Does not claim himself to be an avatar of any God since he knows all humans are avatars of God.
Baba ji says that Shree Vidya mantra is the ultimate Guru mantra one can receive and so after Baba ji blesses the sadhaks with the best thing as they can get, the sadhaks must not resort to or take recourse to astrologers, soothsayers, occult practitioners etc. A simple life must be lead. Superstition shouldn’t be allowed to creep in.
When Baba ji gives Guru mantra to sadhaks, the sadhaks are liberated from Pitra dosha and so after that if they approach any other person seeking another mantra or remedy or shortcuts, the pitra dosh will come back.
When we receive the Guru mantra, we become indebted to the Guru. So Guru rin mukti or liberation from the debt of the Guru can be got only by attaining Moksha and not by changing Gurus every other day.
Guru mantra is naam dhan. Guru mantra is spiritual wealth in comparison with which all other materialistic wealth fails.
So follow the path shown by the Guru to liberate yourself of all grievances, problems diseases and deficiencies in life. Blessings.
