Goa Shivir 2014 (English)

Day 1 (Nutshell)

Namah shivay! Differently pleasant discipline, differently excellent ambience, different set of people, different sorts of greetings, different tastes, different languages, different lineage. Same Baba ji. Same divinity. More and more energy. The English shivir may be very different from that of the Hindi one in the above mentioned ways but the common thread binding all is the unconditional love of Baba ji.

Baba ji is like a super-sonic aeroplane and the sadhaks are like the passengers on board this plane. To the passengers it seems the plane is not moving. But in reality, it is flying at a very high speed at the sky level, travelling huge distances in a matter of minutes.

At the start of the English shivir, Baba ji has hit the ground running. It is said that well begun is half the work done. To say this about the first day of the English shivir will be a gross understatement. What the sadhaks have experienced in one day owing to the improved discipline, better management and facilities from the Hindi shivir is beyond any phrase to describe a flying start.

Three sessions and two brilliant and very long meditations all on the first day itself. It seems the sadhaks here for the English shivir are way too luckier. Baba ji has been extra kind so far.

The first day also saw Baba ji taking a round inside the auditorium to meet the loving sadhaks who fawned upon finding Baba ji amidst them so near physically. The photos will chronicle the chain of events of Baba ji’s walk down in the audience.

A brief summary of the teachings of today to go with the pictures.

Reminding the sadhaks that they are a being of light, reincarnated in human form to experience divine bliss, Baba ji on the first day of the Goa shivir (English), pointed to the “I” or the illusory sense of identity as the primary hurdle to realizing one’s true self. Baba ji also scoffed at the comical irony of an individual creating the disease on his own but wanting others (doctors) to heal it for him. He added that if the disease was created actively by the individual, the cure must also be brought in actively. He despised the idea of seeking external cure for an internal problem. Terming humans as intellectuals, Baba ji remarked that too much intelligence had actually lead to humans becoming worse than animals. He cited the emotions and characteristics of resentment, difference of opinion, jealousy, cold war, scheming and plotting others’ downfall by humans as worse behavior than animals. Even incompatible animals are not so vindictive, said Baba ji. He asked whether anyone had seen two lions having difference of opinion or a cold war or backstabbing. Urging the sadhaks to rise above careless and ignorant living, he stated that any problem or disease was not a punishment by the God but a signal from Mother Nature that somewhere, the emotions require a positive change. Finally he underlined that the person who makes it a habit to see the negativity in others, reacting negatively to every situation will create psychic impressions every single moment and unresolved issues with every other person.

For the sadhaks, he had a congratulatory message, saying that whoever has taken the deeksha in this shivir will find that the healing mantra has become a friend to him. So whenever there is any disturbance in life, start the mental chanting or repetition of the mantra and command it to heal the problem.

Goa Shivir 2014: Divinity unplugged (Hindi leg ends)

Day 6

Namah shivay! Goa shivir is like the jewel in the crown of Shiv Yog shivirs. The moment it is announced in the event calendar, it sends a wave of excitement among the sadhaks. And this excitement is not without reason. Any shivir by Baba ji in Goa has always been more like a spiritual carnival and very delightfully different from any other shivir.

And today that the Hindi leg (first six days) of the 11-day shivir drew to a close, sadhaks were jumping in joy as they had been freed of their chronic diseases, mental blockages, psychic impressions, disabilities etc.

Baba ji gave plenty of time today during the shivir to the sadhaks to narrate their experiences.

The intensive healing given by Baba ji resulted in very deep cure to all the sadhaks. Some of them took the mic to narrate the healing of the incisions after surgery, complete cure of hyperacidity, removal of claustrophobia, entrenched beliefs, absolute perfection in knee problems, 100% recovery of paralysis, spinal cord injuries, skin diseases etc.

What a fantastic deep healing shivir it has turned out to be. Baba ji has skyrocketed the energy level of the sadhaks to a completely different level altogether. The power has reached an extent that Baba ji has advised that whenever the sadhaks practice this at home, they must do some physical activity after the sadhna because it is important to channelize this energy in the right direction.

The day ended earlier than usual and one session was dedicated to distribution of toys to the children.

Many sadhaks have departed. Many others have stayed on to enjoy the blessings of both the Hindi as well as English shivirs.

Also, this will be the last detailed post from Goa. The teachings imparted during the English version of the shivir will be posted as daily status posts right here on Facebook and not as photo albums like during the Hindi shivir.

The highlight teaching of the Hindi shivir, which was the most impressive wordings Baba ji has uttered so far.

MAN CREATED OBJECTS TO USE FOR FELLOW MEN OUT OF LOVE AND CONVENEIENCE. BUT HIS CONSCIOUSNESS DECLINED TO THE LEVEL THAT SLOWLY IT WAS OBJECTS THAT BECAME THE CENTRE OF LOVE AND HUMANS BECAME AN OBJECT TO USE.

The descriptive teachings as Baba ji detailed them for the one last time from Goa. From tomorrow only one status posts with limited photographs.

1. The mantra to heal yourself in life and be successful is three-fold. Whenever you are sitting idle, do this mantra in the mind or verbally if the scenario permits.
a) FORGIVENESS. I forgive myself physically. I forgive myself emotionally. I forgive myself mentally.
b) ACCEPTANCE. I accept myself physically. I accept myself emotionally. I accept myself mentally.
c) UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. I unconditionally love myself physically. I unconditionally love myself physically. I unconditionally love myself mentally.

Doing even this mantra will lead to a rapid ascension and an immediate healing will take place.

2. If you cannot forgive yourself, you will not be able to forgive others. If you cannot accept yourself, you will not be able to accept others. If you cannot unconditionally love yourself, you cannot unconditionally love others.

3. The West may be hale and hearty on many fronts but still there are so many diseases, troubles and disorders. It is because the family values, driven by love, care and compassion are missing. Always remember that human strength is derived out of paying back to others what you have taken from others. The West does not have the culture of positive sanskaras. The first duty, to pay back the parents when you grow up is something totally ignored. Old age homes are a glaring example. This, highly objectionable and ethically, morally and spiritually wrong tendency has also begun taking roots in India. Baba ji urged all to keep the old parents with extreme care, love and affection for whatever they have done for us.

4. Bowing down to the elders to touch their feet is a sign of paying your gratitude.

5. There are a plethora of festivals in India. A festival is an opportunity to celebrate one’s existence. This is best done by feeding the cows, animals, birds, the poor, the needy etc.

6. A festival implies forgetting the tension, burying the differences, taking a break from the rigmarole of daily life, getting together with the family. In other words a grand function where happiness is the theme. Baba ji said that as sadhaks, we must make an effort to make our lives a festival. We must celebrate every day. We must cherish the moments with our loved ones at night. All Shiv Yogis must pledge to have at least one meal, preferably dinner every day together with their family. Dinner must be planned in such a manner that everyone is back home and ready to eat together, smile together and enjoy together. This will loosen the karmic bondages and lead to overall ascension.

7. Whenever you feel that there is a problem in life, just establish a divine connection. Connect with the mantra given by the Guru and go deep. Do not think of the problem. Visualize a perfect situation.

8. A Shiv Yogi never schemes or plots others’ downfall. He never wishes bad for others. He lives in the sat-chit-anand. Whatever he has to seek, he does so from the God Almighty by activating the creation powers within himself.

9. Make feasible rules, which you can easily follow. Do not go all out one day and do nothing the next day. Maintain a level of consistency. Begin slowly. Gradually enhance your speed, progress slowly and eventually you will see that you will be able to run like a bullet train. Do not try to launch yourself in one go. Small and slow steps towards improvement.

10. Harbour a giving nature. Your sights must be set on what you have done for others rather than what others have done for you. Remember giving is a divine virtue which helps you pay back a part of your debt to humanity and whenever you take something you are indebted. Always give something in return for a service, a gesture, a compliment, a help etc.

11. Any disease arrives in the body only because there is disturbance in the flow of the Life force energy in our subtle bodies. Complaining nature, anger, greed, jealousy, criticism all contribute to the stoppage of energy flow.

12. Do not expect anything from anyone. Just remember what you have to or what you can do for others.

13. Do not judge anyone. Do not talk of ill of anyone. Do not analyze the behavior and actions of others. Doing all these will eat up your hard earned spiritual energy.

14. We have begun giving so much attention to our physical existence. It is high time we devote a little care to our emotional body too. Every day you must do something which helps you evolve emotionally. Perform the self-analysis of your emotions. Just observe yourself if you are holding on to any negative emotions. Release them in sadhna.

15. Even mere thoughts full of anger, greed, lust, ego, hurting others, irritation will damage your spiritual energy.

16. It takes a fraction of a second for the Guru to heal the disease as it takes a fraction of a second to let go of the pent up negative emotions for the disciples. Baba ji shed light on this fact while listening to the experiences of sadhaks who had healed various kinds of troubles which had affected them for the last so many years. They found it miraculous but Baba ji said that everything in Shiv Yog is scientific. When the baggage of karmas is released, an automatic “light feeling” is experienced.

The personal experiences of the sadhaks made for such an interesting audience that Baba ji too was all ears. Spectacles, traumas of closed doors, skin diseases, hyperacidity, limiting beliefs, relationship problems, ill health of the family members etc were all a thing of the past now. And it was all owing to Baba ji's profound and intensive healing mediations. He encouraged all to keep up the spiritual momentum in order to sustain the level of healing. The Kundalini had finally risen and it was time for Baba ji to reflect on what he had succeeded in instilling within the sadhaks - seeds of profound divinity.
If sadhaks listen intently to Baba ji whenever he sermons on something, he makes sure he lends them a dedicated ear once they choose to speak. Baba ji and Guru Ma listened very patiently to the miraculous healings which had taken place and which were revealed themselves by the sadhaks on the last day of the Hindi shivir in Goa.

In our mad race to maximize gains, we have paid a heavy moral price. We have wrongly directed love towards material objects and begun using humans as objects.
The highlight teaching of the Hindi shivir, which was the most impressive wordings Baba ji has uttered in Goa so far.

Goa Shivir 2014: Divinity Unplugged Cont.

Day 5

Namah shivay! Baba ji has the godly ability to sense the pulse of the sadhaks. He knows exactly what they are thinking and what is right for them. So, after two tremendous sessions of very powerful healing, in the morning and afternoon Baba ji declared at the start of the evening session that this session would last only till 4pm. He said, “I know it is a momentous day for Indians today. A special programme is scheduled for this evening. I know you all want to witness that.” His reference was to the oath taking ceremony of the new government which had caused unprecedented anticipation among the countrymen for various reasons and sadhaks were no exception to this rule.

This declaration of Baba ji drew a huge round of applause and amazement as to how Baba ji could find out what they wanted.

However, Baba ji makes sure that at all times, Shiv Yogis continue to evolve. He believes that it is not the incident that is important. It is the lessons we derive out of the incident. For him more important than the event is how people who have strong will to succeed overcome even very humble beginnings to not only make their own life worthwhile, but also become capable to administer a nation.

He said, “The life of every achiever or public personality is something we must learn from. Celebrate the success of renowned people but be sure to learn how to succeed from them. Even if you are born in financially unsound conditions, there is no way that door of opportunities is closed for you. Today, we have a clear instance before us to show how sincerity, hard work, honesty, dedication, focus and devotion can take a man from rags to riches.

The fifth and penultimate day of the Goa shivir was another marvelous day in the spiritual sojourn that has been the Art of Self Realisation and Kundalini sadhna shivir 2014.

There was more meditation and sankirtan but very less of verbal. But for whatever little period Baba ji spoke, he belted out gems. So here is another bevy of pearls of wisdom from Baba ji’s vast divine consciousness.

The second last day of the Hindi leg of the shivir also saw sadhaks narrating life changing experiences felt during the course of the healings. So for some, eyesight improved to the extent that spectacles were required no more, for others the medicines for joint pains were needed no more, knee pains had vanished, pathology reports revealed all parameters to be healthy, recurrent digestive disorders were healed permanently, husband-wife quarrels were resolved etc.

A proof, if any, were needed to display the effectiveness and the curing effect of the meditations and sankirtan during this shivir, was received by all. So much bhakti, so much healing, so much surrender, so much more will power, so much rise of the consciousness, so much alterations in the destiny. It’s all happening here in Goa.

The shivir has reached a level of divinity, not witnessed since long. And the teachings, even small ones are so hands-on and self-transforming that the sadhaks who came for the shivir will return tomorrow to their home as completely different and now also divine individuals.

Teachings in detail.

BABA JI’S ADVICE FOR PARENTS, DOCTORS AND TEACHERS TO BUILD A STRONG NATION WHICH IS TOTALLY FREE FROM SOCIAL EVILS, ADDICTIONS AND INTOLERANCE

1. To alter the upcoming crop of citizens, Baba ji said it is important to nip the evil in the bud. Ensuring a holistic development of a child is the duty of the parents in the first place and teachers and doctors subsequently.

2. Children from 0-5 years are very impressionable. They observe every action, every reaction of their parents and people around them. They also get influenced by the energy of the individuals around them.

3. During their formative and growth years, be very careful about who the child gets in touch with. If possible, the child must be exposed only to the immediate family till the first five years of his life. Such isolation is tough but necessary if you wish to rear a divine child. No exposure to the relatives as they will influence the energy of the child by acting in a certain manner.

4. All the emotions of greed, intolerance, helplessness, fear, anger are planted in the psyche of a human from the stage when he is an infant.

5. When you snatch something from a child, scold him badly, he will begin crying. You are planting the emotion of anger and helplessness in him.

6. When you try to scare the child by saying things like “Do this otherwise xyz will punish you”, you are planting the negative psychic impression of fear in him.

7. When you are making comparisons and discriminating between your children, what you are indirectly doing is ingraining in him the feeling of jealousy and negative completion.

8. As an individual grows up to be n adult, these above mentioned emotions expand and occupy the greatest share in a person’s life. Half the problems of intolerance, quarrels, fights and conflicts, currently plaguing the world have their origin in how we bring up our kids.

9. So a child who has always been compared to his siblings, scolded, derided and rebuked will in his teens be very possessive about his friends. He will have jealousy with his own friends.

10. So, the need is to be very very careful about not to establish a “trigger response” during the rearing and caring stage of a child.

11. This was for parents. But if you are a doctor, do not reveal the consequences of a disease. Just give the remedy and hasten the healing process. Don’t talk about how the particular symptom can lead to severe abc symptoms. This will create doubts and negative psychic impressions in the mind of the person. The cure will take that much more time.

12. On their part, people must stop listening to the bad deeds of others to create an impression about the personalities of others. Shiv Yog says no judgement about others.

13. Shiv Yogis must stay miles away from astrologers. For the Shiv Yogis, the Golden book is their horoscope. Zodiac predictions are not for Shiv Yogis. They carve their own destiny. They do not let others tell them about how their life will pan out. They will create a beautiful life themselves.

14. These days, the level of stress has increased, not only because of work related hectic pace of life but because the psychic impressions acquired from childhood to adulthood all are very negative in nature.

15. School teachers must not resort to hitting the children. They must not try to work on fear.

16. Stress in various emotions creates different diseases. The stress of feeling suppressed creates joint and knee pains, the stress of anger causes the high blood pressure, heart disease, jealousy gives rise to diabetes etc.

17. The important thing in life is to release the karmas which are the driving force behind any and every misery. The fact that at times, if not most of the times, we encounter failure after a string of successes reveals that karmas are acting as a big disturbing factor to evolution. For releasing these karmas, sadhna and sewa are a strict essential.

18. In the event that a child gets a poor upbringing emotionally as described above, he will harbor an unknown fear of failure and will then try to lose himself, escape from the world and would try to seek short term thrills through smoking, drinking, drugs etc.

19. The need of the hour is to enhance the will power through sadhna.

20. While allopathy is great for emergency cure, some practices like removal of organs, surgeries etc must be steered clear of. The human body is a community of 50 trillion cells. All these cells are constantly working in tandem with each other. If we remove any one cell through surgery, the natural configuration and the overall rhythm will be upset and a new problem will emerge in it’s place.

GENERAL

1. I must realize that I’m a God in human form. I must also realize that so busy am I in the sea of worldly pursuits that because of my ignorance, I’ve forgotten my true identity.

2. It is impossible to unfold your true identity (that you are God), without the three Shiv Yog virtues of Sadhna, Sewa and Sankurtan.

3. Learn from nature. Nature never deviates from it’s true tendency. Air continues to flow in a rhythm, the rivers continue to flow in a pattern, the trees dance in the windy rain, the birds soar higher and higher in their flight. But it is only a human that deviates from his basic quality of unconditional love.

4. On a lighter vein, Baba ji said that he is just a housekeeper. He is just a sweeper on 24/7 duty. Whenever anyone calls him, he knocks the door. But it is up to the disciple whether to open the door or not. Invocation of Baba ji’s healing powers means that he will surely come to bless us. Just that we will have to let go of our ego, our vices, the devil in us, which says no I don’t want to erase myself. The devil says ‘I will not surrender to the Guru’. He will finish me. A strong will power, thus is required always to overcome the shortcomings and weaknesses in life. The Guru will come but when will you make an effort at your end to do your bit?

5. Once you have taken mantra deeksha from the Guru along with the sadhna shakti in his physical presence, do the maansik japa of the mantra along with the shakti. You will see a drastic change in your fortunes. The more you practice it, the more you will get activated.

6. As you practice the meditations taught during a shivir, you will realize that there is a notable upswing in your self-confidence and will power. You will encounter that your reaction to situations is not at all negative now. There will be an automatic unison with the Supreme One. The moment you close your eyes, you will see a deep illumination.

7. It is your birthright to experience peace, to experience divinity and to feel the divine tranquility. Don’t deprive yourself of this divine experience by remaining busy in only the materialistic activities. Equal weightage is also to be given to your spiritual side, which is actually your true identity.

8. If you are looking to tone up your physique by adding muscle, do not take artificial supplements. Build the body through natural means. Today, we are seeing a massive rise in diabetes and other such ailments just because of intaking synthesized and processed food. We must turn to natural foods.

9. To progress in your spiritual journey, plant the habits of
a) Shuddh bhaavna (Pure intention)
b) Nirmal man (Clutter free mind)
c) Nischal man (Silent mind)
d) Vishal man (Large-heartedness)

10. Do not take to unfair means to achieve anything in life. The feeling governing your actions decides eventual success or failure. For short term benefit, long term evolution must never be compromised. Baba ji narrated how during his young days, he had received the opportunity to work in a radio station. But, for that a form needed to be filled. On the form, in the last section the signatures of the guardians was needed. At that time, Baba ji’s elder brother was his guardian. He refused to send him for a radio jockey audition. Baba ji explained how he could have forged the signature of his brother. How easy it was to do that. But honesty is the best policy. You may cheat the world externally, but you cannot cheat the Shiva sitting within you.

11. It is Baba ji’s vision to get the teachings of Shiv Yog included in academic syllabus of the schools of our country. As a prototype, he had done so in a school in Kanpur. The passing rate was 100% and all students received a distinction, much to the astonishment of the school administration. Such were the disbelief among other schools that they filed a writ petition against the school principal saying such a phenomenal result in board examinations is not possible and indigestible.

12. But this grand idea is back now. Soon, he will make all out efforts to reach out to the young ones and educate them with spiritual teachings at a tender age such that they grow up to inherit a nation which is not only ahead in academic excellence but also a spiritual one.
