All divine forces have the one
aspect of Shakti or power central to them, thus making them subjects of
worship. This divine power or Shakti is responsible for the origin and
sustenance of the whole world. Shakti is nothing but omnipotent and omnipresent
incarnation of Ma Durga.
The nine forms of Ma Durga are often worshipped by chanting of the Durga
Saptashati during Navratras, nine days of piety in the Hindu calendar, widely
celebrated twice every year.
Durga Saptashati is a scripture and like all others of its kind, it consists of
3 aspects through which it can be understood fully. The first is by Mahatam
(oral recital of the greatness of the deity) which can be done by anyone by
just reading the scripture. The second and more powerful way is by assimilating
the Gyan or wisdom in the allegorical stories of the scripture. This can be
done in some cases by any lay person and in some cases only by the Guru, who
has through meditation deciphered the hidden teachings behind the divine tales
in the scripture. The third and the most effective way of utilizing a scripture
is through Sadhna or meditation which can only be learnt through a
Self-realized sage who has through years of penance unraveled the powers in the
scripture.
Majority of the religiously inclined read the Durga Mahatam and reap rich
dividends. So it can only be imagined if Durga Saptashati is learnt via the
gyan and sadhna methods, how much more beneficial it would be.
It took Baba ji decades of meditation to distillate the essence of Durga Saptashati
in the form of divine hymns or Beej Mantras, making Durga Saptashati an
other-worldly and overwhelmingly blissful experience made all the more special
by the invocation of Lord Ganesha, the Holy masters and the divine troika of
Maha Saraswati Maha Lakshmi and Maha Kali which Baba ji teaches in the program.
Among the tangible benefits of Durga Saptashati are good health, freedom from
suffering in life, attraction of wealth and prosperity in life, materialization
of wishes, ridding one of Vastu Dosha, Bhoomi dosha, diseases, legal wrangles
and all energy distortions and also spiritual growth at a fast pace etc.
It is Avadhoot Baba Shivanand ji's vision to spread Durga Saptashati across the
world so that all and sundry can avail of its spiritual and worldly benefits.
Lucky is the home which reverberates with the chants of Durga Saptashati every
day. Such an abode becomes a haven for all good deeds and its occupants are
greeted with good news in their life all the time.
Avdhoot Baba Shivanand, the master of ancient sacred practices of the yogis of
the East, has blessed lakhs of people by initiating them into several sacred
practices of ShivYog for the past decade.
Babaji is a master of the ultimate sadhna of self-realization -- the Advait
Shree Vidhya sadhna, that is the bestower of both materialization and
liberation, and lakhs of seekers have become the practioners of this sacred
sadhna, enriching their lives both materialistically and spiritually.
Out of compassion and as the need of the hour in this current age of Kaliyuga,
Babaji with the divine consent of the Gurumandala, brought this sacred sadhna
into the common man's home of the modern world, which was afflicted with
decline in morality, diversions from natural ways of living resulting in eruption
of a huge range of diseases, mental chaos, and unrest.
The regular practice of this sadhna brings good health, meaning of one's
existence and co-relation to creation, knowing one's higher purpose of life,
destroys negative patterns, clarity in thoughts and actions, clearance of
negative energies from one's aura and spaces, bringing peace, contentment and
happiness with the blessings of material and spiritual gains.
There are many dimensions in creation and it would be the endeavor of Babaji in
In the shivirs of Infinite Dimensional Advait Shree Vidya, to elevate one into
the infinite dimensions beyond time, space and distance and do the sacred
Advait Shree Vidya Sadhna in the space of infinity.
This sacred sadhna of the Infinite Dimensional Advait Shree Vidhya is the
sacred sadhna that comes down from the lineage of Adi Shankaracharya and remain
bound with very few masters, most of them preferring to live in isolation and
serve the world from their secluded choices, but we are fortunate to have a
master amongst us, living with us, in the world, who chooses to reach out this
sacred wisdom to the worthy and aspiring seekers by teaching them with example
how to an earnest and dedicated seeker can live amidst the worldly attractions,
experience the world and yet move towards one highest goal of taking this human
form.
